Ein rätselhafter Graf lädt vierzehn Gäste – sieben Männer und sieben Frauen – auf sein Anwesen in Waimea, Hawaii ein. Der Anlass für den dreiwöchigen Aufenthalt: Am Ende dieser Zeit wird nur einer der Anwesenden als alleiniger Erbe des Grafen bestimmt. Die entscheidende Frage lautet: Wer wird das Erbe von rund 23 Millionen Euro erhalten? Oder sollte man sich eher fragen: Wer wird die Zeitspanne überleben?
